Raining Cats and Dogs & Street Art


So instead of our usual one hour walk on Tuesday Nancy and I went and had brekkers at Foys Rock and Roll Grill in Fairborn , Ohio. To me this is so Americana and a lot of fun to visit, plus the egg and toast wasn't too shabby either. Great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly.


Afterwards we had about 30mins no rain and we managed to yarn bomb two posts on Dayton Street before we got caught in the rain and walked home like two wet puppies.



This camo barbie is really sneaky because you really can't see it until you get close to the pole.
I had the idea we would do a gossip totem and cover it with noses, but noses cost a lot of dosh, and spending money isn't in the picture. So if anyone has a large quantity of small rubber noses, I would be glad to accept donations ;) Okay, joking aside I am really into the camouflage at the moment. You know what it's like, we get our mini obsessions LOL!

Oh wow, I totally love the colours of this one! And I didn't even notice the doll until I read underneath that there was one! Then I had to look for it! Great camouflage!

Love your mini obsessions. We'll never get anywhere without them. Someday we will be as famous as 'Bleue Reiter"group. The blogisphere is full of b=hit. At least this is my hope - to communicate with those who are working to forward art. Corrine - you are there!

without having to procrastinate so much I have been out and about so it has been a while but what a treat to come and read and get caught up...love the chandelier it is just what I am looking for. Love the fun and games and the deep thoughts too.

For some reason undaunted I just have had a thing about those colours with wool :) I am so liking the camouflage idea I might further it with painting, don't know. See what moves me.

Lynda you are the first person to mention the VOKI lol! I wasn't even sure if anyone listened to it. People seem to be enjoying the poles, especially the kids.

ps. I want your NOSES hee! hee!

I wonder Bill, the internet and especially blogging has created a new way of dealing with art. So yes, I do wonder if it will be seen as a movement. I wonder if there is even a way to gage the impact it has had on the arts overall.

I love your yarn bombs! How cool is that? If I saw a pole like this in my neighborhood I would smile from ear to ear. Too bad some yank would rip it down or set it on fire. Oh well, I'll just enjoy yours.

Isn't Foy's fun?? I need to get back there soon. The place that I used to go for my haircuts is just across the street from Foy's so we were always in there and the shop. Grace loves it!

Now, I must grab Grace and head back to YS when we return from DC. I have to see the new yarnwork!!

That cafe looks like it has an awesome atmosphere and I love that red checked tile floor and pool tables too...Neato! Camouflage Barbie is really neat too! LOL, sorry I don't have any rubber noses or I would send them. I can't wait to see your next project, youall have so much fun!
