Quiet As A Mouse and Change

 Yellow Springs, Ohio has changed and not changed, friends and acquaintances have changed in degrees as have I so moving back and finding my place will take the same amount of time it would any new move. Usually I give myself a 6 months grace period and I’m within that 6 month window now. I tend to take this time to settle in, to observe and remain somewhat quiet as a mouse, not diving into anything.

The two things that I did dive back into and thankfully with open arms is my old  TAG (textile art group) and Jafagirl Tuesdays. 

I turned 71 in April and it feels strange. I don't feel it in my head but my body sometimes has it's days and reminds me. My desire to create and get up to art mischief hasn't changed much though. As Louise Nevelson said "I never feel age....if you have creative work, you don't have age or time". 

 In the process of creating there isn't much difference between  7 or 71. However getting back into that art groove is not easy as I am not the same artist that left almost 9 years ago.

I'm still being the mouse lady and leaving little mice here and there though lol!
