Reclaiming The Zest for Life During a Pandemic
Some call it Joie de vivre, or enthusiasm/zest for life. Even if you do have a “zest personality” it’s not easy when circumstances crush your spirit, and trying to reclaim it can become an exhausting effort in itself. Still there are some helpful tips and tricks, if not to fully reclaim your zest then cope.
Van Gogh said “Art is to console those who are broken by life.” Back in 2016 I wrote how photography helped me through a very dark period. You don’t have to be a professional or have a fancy camera to do this.
While I don’t seem to be able to muster up the enthusiasm or energy for large art projects I have been energized by simple crafts and continue exploring and appreciating the world around me through photography.
