Desperate Distractions: Painted Stones

 Yes, desperate because it's turmoil out there, roiling with political unrest, social unrest , fear, anguish, and toss in the pandemic, Ugh! As the news gets worse my need for distractions increases, and I find myself immersed in art that doesn’t require large blocks of time or concentration.  I can doodle on a stone for a hour or five minutes, pick up doodle some more and take my sweet time. Luckily I have plenty of rocks in my garden and can just pick a few when needed, clean and then gesso them ready for paint pen magic. I have a love of embroidery, particularly jacobean so this current batch of stones are heavily influenced by jacobean floral motifs.
