Amazing Buildings called Earthships in New Mexico

We were driving on route 64 heading towards Taos when I spied several unusual buildings and then came across this sign.  I have heard about

earthships but never actually seen one so coming across this was a major treat.

The buildings just glistened and sparkled in the October sun like beacons.
