Creature Bone
I have and continue to be very partial to Chiaroscuro in my work and so I thought it would be a good exercise to explore black and white photography next year (along with daily drawing). My goal is to see if I can evoke a mood beyond just the image as well as capture shadows, and tonal ranges. So this is my first image for the series. It's an old bone a friend gave me from Africa that she painted and I have on my wall. I thought it was interesting that the shadow looks like a giraffe.
