Rabbit Stories
In Dorset, England, for more than a hundred years the rabbit has been viewed as bad luck and saying the word "rabbit" is considered taboo. Other ways are used to describe it, such as "underground mutton" or "long ears".
"Posters for the animated feature film Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit have been banned from the Isle of Portland, Dorset, because of a local superstition."

rabbits eh? In my part of England hares at least are considered fortunate, being heralds of the goddess because of their madness. So pretty fitting what with Sheree's knot comments! Happy new year!!

I wonder what those peculiar Dorset folk say on the first of the month instead of "White Rabbit!"?
