Henna Hand Embroidery




Yea! finally finished by henna/mehndi style hand embroidery on tea stained linen. I'm really happy with how the design worked out. Sometimes even when I think doodles (or as some call zentangles)in my sketchbook aren't working there is something to be gained from them.

thanks giggly. I had fun doing this one and the satin stitch isn't as hard on my wrist and elbow like short and long stitch.

Hi, If you're having wrist and elbow aches you might consider mixing your embroidery with painting. I use acrylics and embroidery together. They seem to play off of and really enhance each other.
Also I love the hand and your doodles...
