It was a rabbity day
It all started at the Renwick Gallery with this "i am no one" by Beth Cavener Stichter. I really felt the emotion for this poor little creature. Then I turned a corner and found this Glass installation by Beth Lipman, a table that demanded careful exploration lest you miss all the little surprises and creatures.
It was fascinating and conjured up all sorts of images, scenes in life and in paintings, and memories too. It was a beautiful reminder of the fragility of life.
That is not it though.
I was tired and need to sit and so I went to the sculpture garden and saw
Barry Flanagan's "thinker on a rock" .
AND THENStill Life with Dead Game by Willem van Aelst
a room full of rabbit images (all dead) in the dutch masters room of the National Gallery
and I thought
I ain't eating rabbit for dinner
OOPS!
and now for something completely different
don't put this is your coffee or tea

Hey, I'm doing a plug on you without your permission, so now I need your permission. I've done a posting on monochromatic painting - your faces on stones posting was just amazing. I've put your blog picture on my posting but will need your absolute permission 1st. If you are happy for the picture to be up there then cool! If not, ok if I link back to you?
I don't feel amazing Lesly lol! but I like the compliment a lot. Hey thanks for dropping by :)
I so enjoyed the visit to see Sophie's sculptures, they are brill!
You gave me a thrill bill :)
The video cracked me up.
I know this won't surprise you, but things like your rabbit infestation happens to me all the time. I might get on some kind of thought roll and all of a sudden, synchronicity rears its head. That thought materializes in a zillion ways over a bit of time.
That video made me ROFLMAO!! I too wonder what would happen! I think I have been slipped a mickey! I have been growing nose hairs lately!! LOL LOL LOL
Brings to mind Albrecht Durer's Hare.
I visited that a few years ago. I thought it was temporary - guess not.
Did you like the big eraser (or rubber)?
very funny clip - thanks
