Yum Yum Poles and Kisses

Well this week Nancy (seen in the photo) and I are up to our eyeballs with projects, from putting up three yum yum poles, and working on the "Catch a Kiss in the Springs" campaign that the Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring, installing an art box on a building, and removing three paintings from the chamberpot gallery. Yes, we have sold three paintings from the loo art gallery, which goes to show, good art sells anywhere, even in a netty.

It was snowing like mad when we were tagging the poles and Williams Eatery took pity on us lol and told us to come in and have a cup of tea on the house. I love this building and the owners are
sweethearts, and a great little menu. So anyone in the YS area, check it out.

Just in case some might think I have forgotten my more serious work, I am plotting as I type. Yes I have some major ideas for my next series that I will be exhibit 2010. They will require more than just painting, also carpentry and some multi-media work. Sort of along the lines of these pieces technically, but interactive (people will be able to open parts, turn dials, press buttons for sounds, etc).

I'm intrigued by the idea of the interactive multi-media pieces. I'm sure they'll be a hit!
Thanks for your vote, too! :)

Fabulous Jafabrit... I can't even imagine how you keep so many balls in the air.

I have to say that as a displaced Canadian my first thought on the Yum-yum poles was 'Protection for dumb/curious (take your pick) kids who might otherwise adhere their tongues to poles' (okay that was my second thought, the first was 'those are pretty!).
