Yes! She imagined

as she lined the glasses
up that some contained the poison
for THEM. Them! Even at five she
knew they were wicked,
only she didn’t really know just
how truly
wicked they would become".

The five your old is me painter girl and them includes my father who three years after I had played at the sink abused me. The abuse lasted 5 years.

I hope you got justice and he was punished.

painter girl, it isn't hard really. I am so far removed from it emotionally after all these years that I have a more objective view. That is why it is not hard to talk about now and again when it comes up in conversation or my art.

that you had magical visions perhaps is a good thing, because the objective was to relate my childhood innocence and my attempt emotionally to cope with nasty people using what was available intellectually (which of course are fairy tales from books).
