JafaBrit is Fagged
It was FAF (free art friday) and the jafagirls were busy leaving work all over town. Wasn't easy trying to leave things discreetly as the town was packed for the grand finale of summer in the springs. As well as FAF Nancy and I were helping host a teen art show at the YS Arts Council Gallery. We did a workshop with the kids earlier in the week and then we helped hang the show this morning (took us flipping 4 hours arg! but it looked fab).
Newest crushed can painting for the Nolaa Gallery as soon as it dries.
I don't feel that jafa spirit this week

All work and no play makes me a manic girl.
I'm looking forward to next week which marks the return of school for my daughter and the return of a studio routine.
Working with kids is fun, but also a lot of actual work. I would love to see what you did with them!

The "Free Art Friday" thing reminds me of something my friend & I used to do in Canada. I formed the "FLF" (Fairy Liberation Front,) & we'd buy up dollar store fairy statues, then leave them in natural settings all over the Niagara Region. I miss the FLF...
