Nosing Around on Jafa Tuesday

Err, well we are trying to make noses for the nose pole and experimented with the impregnated plaster bandages. I did not LIKE having it on my NOSE, so forget doing twenty of those . We also worked on a BIG nose too. Nancy made a clay mold and then we covered it. I will show you what we will do with it another day.

Picking Noses
Can you believe my dog got a 4 inch blade of grass stuck up his nose. The poor thing was choking and sniffling like crazy and each time the grass went further up his nose. My husband rescued it just before we lost it forever.

Kim at Laketrees has a list of the top Artists Blogs, thanks Kim for putting the list together.

I got a lovely award from Chris Bolmeier(hum, seems she is into nose issues too wink! wink!), which was a nice surprise since I didn't know she read my blog :) Thank You Chris.

*shudders* ooh no, the thought of a 4 inch blade of grass up my nose is just too horrible.

I love the big nose! It's a really nice shaped nose :) Can't wait to see what you do with it!

Congratulations on the award too!

congratulations on your award Corrine and thanks for mentioning the list too :)
your nose cast brings back memories of art school when I was plastered from the waist up...with my whole face done as well...I had to breathe through straws!!
talk about claustrophobic !!!
your poor doggie...I hope he's breathing ok after his run in with the blade of grass :0

Very clever, can't wait to see your nose pole. Yes I'm into noses, I have to be, I'm Italian and I come from a long line of schnozzolas, the kind people notice and tell me about as if I didn't notice. I'll never forget the time I had a girlfriend over for dinner a few years ago. She saw a picture of my grandmother. and said "wow, now I know where you got that nose". OOh that hurt, that was low, below the belt. I wanted to punch her lights out. One more nose comment. Have you ever been in traffic at a stop sign and the guy in the car next to you is picking his nose and he doesn't stop, but you're the one that gets embarassed and nicely pretends you didn't see it?

thanks maria, hope all is well with you :)

well today was working on a grant and shopping for supplies, so no nose work undaunted.

thanks Kim, ugh Kim I just know I would have had a panic attack if I did what you did, YIKES! Doggie doing fine after a few mins.

Chris, I don't blame you for wanting to sock it to your friend. I went through a couple of years of being told I had a primeval nose. So I empathize.

Just stickin my nose in to see what you're up to!

I can't wait to see your nose pole too and speaking of noses, my husband just got some 'breath right' strips to see if they would keep him from snoring so bad. They seem to work pretty good but they look funny stuck to his nose! :)
eek, I'm so glad you got the blade of grass out of the dog's nose, ugh poor little fellow, that must have been so uncomfortable for him!

Ever since I saw this post I have wanted a plaster cast of my nose, it looks cool :)

Sorry to hear about the dog, but I am glad I didn't have to retrieve the snot soaked blade of grass :)

I just wish I could come and hang out with you Jafagals for one day. I think I just might die of laughter.

Congrats on your award!

jan, nancy made a small clay nose and I am going to use that one.
lone beader, glad you stuck your nose in hee!hee!
lyn, I used the clear nose strips for a while and they really helped. I don't need them now. I guess being overweight really did play into my snoring issue.
cynthia, I bet we would all have fun :)

I continue to enjoy your site and commentaries. Unlike most sites, God only knows what subject you will post next. I think that is why you are so popular. I am an admirer from afar.

I am not sure about the popular bit, but thanks for dropping by and yes I think by nature my likes are so eclectic that is reflects in my art.
