It's Monday and its Studio Day

It is such a beautiful morning. I am working on another camo doll, sewing and my skull painting. I am really so excited about my skull painting to the point I can't wait for it to be finished. Not good, it means I have to SLOW myself down so it isn't rushed.

Oh this is the bench I helped paint for (jafagirl) Nancy's project outside the cooperative gallery she is a member of. It is a wonderful way to brighten up old benches and I am so glad Nancy made it happen. Already I have seen several visitors to the village wanting photos of themselves sitting on them.

Here is the skull painting I am working on. I see the right cheekbone needs work on. It's not an actual record, but based on the vinyl record painting I did.

So what are YOU working on and how is your Monday planned?

What a great bench! I love it. I just caught a peek at a face of sorts on the bottom left.

The vinyl skull painting rocks - if you're rushing it doesn't show.
What a fun bench! I'd have my picture taken on it too. Love the paisley around the skull also!
My art Monday is going to be spent making jewelry for a show coming up on Thursday, hanging out with friends coming to fish in our pond, then taking my new dog to be spayed this evening.

My Monday, somewhat unplanned as always, has been taken up with some drawing and trying to write up yesterday's Adventures in the Countryside. There were times when that bench would have been warmly received.

Well I just spent over an hour looking at my computer screen trying to write an email and it wasn't happening, so I gave up! What a fun day this turned out to be!

I love the bench - I wish we could do exciting things like that around here but we'd probably end up getting arrested!

I love the skull painting too. :)

Happy to see your studio revving along, Corrine. Your enthusiasm is catchy.

I was up early and in the studio. Finished, I think, one artwork from yesterday's outdoor set-up. Answered comments and posted at one of the blogs - frustratingly slow because my relay doesn't push the signal right. Closed a commission sale and on another note I'll be teaching someday soon at a new art school.

Need a nap, now...

I like the backward teeth on the bench. Or is it an invisible creature getting ready to take a bite?

Ooh, how dozy am I today? I noticed the teeth and it didn't even register with me that they were the wrong way round! Well spotted Janet!

I had to quell the urge to rush it cynthia :)

Hope you had a lovely day still waters, oh fancy having your own pond with fish, that is LOVELY.

thanks Harry, hope the drawing went well :)

undaunted, we are lucky in that this village is very open to artists getting up to artistic mischief! Which is one of the reasons I have just blossomed here as an artist.

Casey, sounds like you had a good day :) and WOW, teaching at an art school, that is wonderful news. congratulations.

Jan, I don't know why but there was a chunk out the end of the bench and it said it needed backwards teeth to me lol!

well Kim some days or weeks are meant to be for fermenting of ideas and having an art break. When I get those days I feel guilty until I convince and remind myself that one can't be on the go every second of the day. Hey, Glad you like the eyes on the skull.

Been thinking about your album paintings.

A series.
