Photograph of Found Art

"bugs rule, ha!ha!"
The jafagirls were leaving bits of art around town and I was photographing some of them. I hurriedly took a pic of my bug on the post in Kings Yard in Yellow Springs and somehow managed to capture some wonderful shadows and reflections.

To see a slide show of some of the found art just click on jafagirls. Nancy painted a stick that has a total of 36 faces in it and its really cool. Whenever we get together to do our rounds to leave art we go through this ritual: "man that is too cool, you can't give it away, I want it", and then we have to remind ourselves that they are intended as gifts and we have to let them go.

I couldn't resist taking a photo of rufus playing scrabble with us.
Rufus won

Not exactly a new idea, but
I thought this might be of interest to those who are looking for venue's to show and sell their work. "Hotels add art to cultivate new clientele": source

Very cunning bug placement. USA Today needs to do an article on your found art process, IMO.
You girls rock! :D

I've only released art into the wild once - and it was sort of tough. I had to remind myself that once left - I no longer own it and the right person will find it.

We love playing scrabble - and Rufus is adorable!

If I am not careful emm, cynthia this blog will turn into one of those doggie blogs LOL!

Oh casey, not sure about the usa thing :) but we did have fun figuring out where to place the bits of art.

San, kris, epiphany artist, I also decorate rubber cockroaches. People seem to love those and in the summer local kids hunt for them.

Ooooh Linda, I wonder what I have inspired in you :) Hope you share.

Thanks Lone Beader. We're having fun and in the end that is what counts.
