Street Sign in Yellow Springs
Talitha the Tongue gave me two reasons to laugh this morning. She told me to check out the new street sign on the way to town this morning.I had to drop off some art balls at the Nolaa Gallery and the Vampire Rabbit Gargoyle painting to IN A FRAME Gallery. Whoever put the sign there was right, it WAS a big bump lol! The second was her response when I told her my wee artist statement for my exhibit.
Like a quilt,
life is made up of fragments
stitched together to create a whole,
captured with scraps, patches, wood and paint.
Some fragments are fresh, others worn with age,
but they make up who we are and
tell a story.
Naw! Talitha says, make it simple
Buy my shit
I’m broke

would love to have your email thank you..for many reasons, not the initial one anymore for it's out in public knowledge but so i can communicate with you in a different way.

hope your business has been thriving. your family has been well and you are fullof joy.
much love.
I loved the painting, by the way, and your little 'I am broke' buy me message.
I laughed outloud.
My daughter is charged with creating some new state "logos" for a school project - I wish she was old enough to visit your blog. Forget the "Centennial State" we need something like "Where the plains meet the big ass mountains".
I should know I am wearing one LOL!
spuggydo!
I tried to get the gallery that represents me go with talitha's statement andrea, but it was a no go.

Dang but those are both perfect signs. I do believe in honesty in signage...
When Bill was still looking for a permanent civvie job last year he said he was just gonna start putting, under the why do you want to work with us statement, because without another job, we will be broke. My daughter likes shoes too much and my son is STILL in college. PLEASE hire me. PLEASE!!! For God's Sake HIRE ME!!!
Truth in advertising...
Now, it just needs to finally cool down and act like October.
Hugs,
Sue
