sketchbook doodles

"official dribble"
I could do with two more panels for the exhibit and it isn't happening. I tried, but I should know myself well enough now that if I am not inspired I can't force it. I spent a day working on one panel and all along instead of the feeling, "wow, this process is fun, can't wait to see where the image is going" I was saying, "hell, I need another panel, how can I rescue this." It was absolute crap. Part of it is feeling this pervasive sense of things not being right, feeling unsettled, which is due to my daughter not being here now. It will pass but in the meantime I think it is time to just play in my studio and sketchbook a bit. I have enough for the exhibit I think.
I have been meaning to do something with the above sketch for ages, so maybe I will experiment. Official dribble! sheesh! we certainly have had a lot of that the past few years, more like verbal diarrhoea actually. dribble! dribble! dribble!

Early morning video! Is there an exorcist in the house?

I like your strange man who's half the man he was, but JB, sounds like you need to do some MAJOR relaxing, soon.

This is me, sending calming vibes your way . . .

I love it! and the verbal crap just seems to be a huge business. I think back in the day it was called propoganda.

I found this gem:

It is proof of a base and low mind for one to wish to think with the masses or majority, merely because the majority is the majority. Truth does not change because it is, or is not, believed by a majority of the people.

It's horrible when the last little bird flies the coop ... but it will get a bit easier.

Know just what you mean when you talk about trying to paint when you are uninspired ... it just doesn't work for me either! Trouble is, inspiration seems to be in short supply around my neck of the woods more often than not lately.

And you at least keep your workbook up ... I can't even say that.

This doodle looks particularly promising ... hope that you get a real bolt out of the blue and do something with it! x

Oh my dear friend, hang in!

I can't imagine, sending a baby off into the world. I've got ten more years and I'm already dreading it.

Do what you feel and don't do what you don't.

Love
Margot
You create some of the coolest and most unusual art I've ever seen.

Okay, I know who that guy is, I just cant think of his name.

So add an extra foot between the artwork when you get it hung. No one will notice that you didnt do two more panels.

You just can't force these things darling. Leave it alone and it will happen on it's own accord. Art is all about a state of mind and you have other things hogging the stage

Hey Jafrabit when you get your exhibition going, post some photos or video. Would love to see it. When I have my next show in Jan 08, I will be doing the same. I will post you a virtual invite.

It is nice to hear other artists confirm what I should know already LOL! Just need to be reminded.

rocks out of control, I love it THanks.

ANd a BIG thanks to norwegianity for the shout out :)

will definately take pics or maybe a short video of the show. Nice thing about this exhibit is I don't have to hang it. THe gallery owner prefers to do it with her assistant. She always does a smashing job so I am excited to see how she hangs my work.

If I am not inspired I can not force a project either. I can very much relate! :) I think that ALL of your work so far is WONDERFUL! You are so inspiring... I find myself wanting to leave things places because I was inspired to do so from you. I also am thinking of painting on rocks. That is also inspired by you. Your such an amazing inspiration to me!
Wonderful post! Thank you for sharing with us!

This doodle is hilarious!
I love the miserable office twat in the picture with the inexorable stream of jargonous crap oozing from his mouth...

Bla bla blahhhhh....

Can't wait to see how it unfolds.
