The Yellow Springs Tile Mural Project.
The John Bryan Community Pottery had a community tile-making project and everyone was invited to participate. I had a look at the progress today and WOW! it is so much fun to look at. I did the round blue tile with the black dickie bird and daisies, and the blue evil eye (nazar bonjuk) cockroach tile to the left of it.
Well off to town with daughter and doggies, going to check out the block party and

I love the evil eye. I have a multitude of them, memories of Greece and Turkey lost in their depths...
I also have an evil eye charm that a friend brought me back from a trip to Kuwait - but I've never worn it. Maybe I should??

BTW - In view of some of the recent articles on your blog I wonder if you might consider writing something about the following issues -
- the approach to marketing your work
-how you feel about marketing and the skills and effort needed
- what do you think the ideal way would be to market your work given that you live in a very small community
- what happens to most of your work
- to what extent is you work on display in your own home
I realise that this is like a second interview (a follow up!!) but I wondered if thinking about these things might focus you on some relevant issues. It's just an impression I have got of where you are at just now but if I am on the wrong tack please feel free to ignore this suggestion. Or ignore it anyway if you don't want to go down this road!!
