I am getting art withdrawal symptoms. It has been impossible to do any studio work for the last three weeks due to family events, visitors, arts council stuff. We did have our art reception at the ChamberPot Gallery and it wasn't easy since Nancy was left pretty much to do it all herself. Thank goodness a couple of artists helped out. Been hearing around town that everyone enjoyed it though.
People seemed to like ourwacky artball vending machine too. YEA!
Anyway, as you can see in the pic above I did do one sleeve of the kimono and will be starting the neckline and other sleeve next week. Next week is the week I get back into the studio on a daily work schedule or else I will go slightly more bonkers than I already am.

cedar, it is has been almost impossible to keep up with some of my fave blogs, so I hope things settle down in the next few months. I have a solo exhibit to get ready for.
The kimono on the skeleton is a vintage english patchwork from the 60's. The flat one is wood pieces sewn together.
I like the wooden quilt - I have been thinking of making a ceramic one myself.

My in-laws just came into town yesterday, I'm pretty sure I'll be feeling the same way as you. I love them dearly, but I start to miss my studio.
LOVE the artwork. Your art is YOU, your hear and soul and when you can not express it, it has to be so difficult. I am glad you are now able to get back to it.

I am sniffling my way through breakfast now - but in the deliciously bittersweet way we do when honouring someone's memory - especially when we have loved them so much.
