Urban Art

This is a photo I took of my son and will be my new found art card that is printed on sticky photographic paper.

I have added a couple of links, one of which I have enjoyed visiting for a while now called the Wooster Collective. As many of you know I love street art/graffiti and this site celebrates the best that is around. Some of the artwork really is just amazing and refutes the old notion that graffiti is a blight. Just in case you really have a bad reaction to seeing graffiti though please read this sign.

Toodle pip, ta ra, see ya

Would you mind if I print off a copy of this and keep it for myself? The message just made my day!! Tremendous work, really.

ahhhhh, minx, my son got a chuckle from that, but I agree very handsome young man (and I am not biased-honest LOL)
Thanks Angela, sylvie maria :)
Jan, my son was like, "you want me to do what, pose with a bird on my shoulder". thank goodness he is a good sport.

I got a kick out of that sign too Dr.John, I think it could apply to a lot of things eh!

Philip, absolutely, feel free to print off a few and leave them around town if you want. lol! glad it made your day, that is very cool!

Love your newest found art piece...and the spuggy sitting on your handsome son's shoulder. It feels like it might be you watching over him???

I also got a good laugh from the "Warning...you are entering an urban area" sign. We live in an urban area and many of our friends who have fled the suburbs are afraid of the big city!

Oh you caught me out lol!!

>>>many of our friends who have fled the suburbs are afraid of the big city!<<<

Having worked on a crisis line in a bedroom community of Dallas Texas for 6 years, my experience is the burbs have insidious dangers and provide opportunities for those who would exploit the complacent unawareness of the people in them. At least in a city you know where not to walk and you become street smart enough to figure out who to avoid.

actually NOT IN Dallas, but 30 miles north of the city.

Wonderful work. You're vastly talented and blessed with a tremendous sense of the absurd.

Applause!
Love this one. Handsome young son you have there ... I thought that's why we had children ... so they would do just as we ask???

Did you leave the light switches there intentionally? :-) I did some walls for a client once and "hid" the same kind of switches by filling in a whole row of them with trompe l'oeil ones.

Your son is so handsome and he has a little spuggy on his shoulder, how cool is that!!! I have to try and read the sign because it kept going back to the first website (which is very cool, I must add!) J.B. I hope you and your family have a Very Happy Easter, I'm trying to lay off the candy this year but I'll probably get some while it's on clearance next week hehe!

I saw the sign (my computer is so freakin' slow) and OMG did you see the printable cold sore stickers to put on the models pictures in the subways ads?! OMG I want some of those! That is too funny!!

Did you use to live in NJ? Your son looks alot like a guy i was friends with in high school. We had kept in touch for a bit when I moved to NJ. I friend told me to check out your site for the art, which is amazing, but since I don;t think there are that many Bayraktaroglu in the world, if your son's name starts with an A. tell him Laura from North says hi.

I really am in aww of your work by the way.
