Tweet Bloody Tweet
I haven't quite finished this reverse painting, just need to add colour behind the squiggly lines around the edge and then that's it. I will leave the interpretation up to others :)
Meanwhile my head is spinning with all the projects to be planned out and worked on. Nancy and I are gearing up for the new exhibit and opening reception in June for the ChamberPot Gallery, several of us at YS Arts Council are planning the october art stroll happening (street art is the theme, lining up live music, a location, etc). I tipped off the owner of the movie art house in town about a documentary called BOMB IT with the hopes she could run it the same week of art stroll (it's a long shot though). That is besides getting work ready for the miniature show IN A FRAME in June, and working on my own stuff for my October exhibit.

I LOVE ART
Saying of the Day: How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink?
I am honored that Angela chose me as one of her recipients of the thinking blog award, thankyou :) Frankly I don't know how I can narrow a list down to 5 to pass on this award as there are so many really wonderful blogs I like to visit on a regular basis.

I know how my mind get's all frazzled with ideas....perhaps I'm not alone there? :)Anyhoo, good luck on the upcoming show. I know that your work is wonderful and would truely be amazing to see in person! Everyone who goes to it is soooooo lucky! :)
As far as the award given to you, your truely right! It was very hard to choose 5 artist's blogs. When I am soooo amazed to see the works done on many of them. :)
*HUGS*
How I wish I had this in my hanging in my home. I have quite the collection now and I could not walk past this work, not when it is screaming at me to take it and then squawking at me, "Tweet Bloody Tweet", when I have to leave it here on your blog.
Grrrr...
I take it this is for you upcoming one woman show. Remember back when when you found out about it and fretted about having a "body of work". :-)
I think I will build a box frame for it Jan, and paint the frame black. Yes I think it will work for the show. At this point the underlying theme seems to be directed towards fragments (of ideas, objects, quilts, images etc).
Good luck with the show :)
Invisible ink. Brings me back to lemon juice and black light experiments.
oh my the energy it has.
I am excited about your show in October...I hope to get to YS LONG before then but would love to attend that show.
Love your daily sayings! A hoot...
Hugs,

well it wasn't meant to be a war painting, but it sure ended up that way. It was the hat on the screaming face I guess that did it. After reading several world war history books this last couple of years the words, "the folly of war" came to mind, oil, flowers, remembrance, and the glittering propaganda that always comes with war (no matter which one we are talking about).
