Night at the Gypsy Cafe
Don't you just love it when food is served like a work of art? This is how one of our favourite places in Yellow Springs, the Gypsy Cafe, does it. It isn't just about food, it is the ambience, the service, the quality of the food. The wife is the gypsy chef, the husband is the live menu who tells the patrons the choices for the evening. Until his wife has decided where she will travel culinarily speaking, husband doesn't know what country will be highlighted the following week. Not just a visual feast, but a gustatory one tooooo!!!
Have an interview with the Associated Press tomorrow!!!

eek, I am nervous. I hate getting my photo taken and I always feel like I blather on like a mad woman.
The restaurant sounds interesting.
:) D
PS Congrats on the interview!
Have you ever had chocolate cake with red chili peppers in it? Sounds horrid but it is a cake with a slight kick and very good. this is their speciality, think they call it devil's kiss.
Have seen chocolate bars with ancho chili in it at some of the fancy kitchen/food shops.
Good luck today.
Dr.John, amazingly for a village of 3,500 we have some very fine restaurants.
Yellow Springs is a very unique little place, kind of like your Pigeon Falls but without the dead pigeons LOL!
Yellow springs has quite a few famous persons within their own careers. I lunch with a lady once a month who used to be the scriptwriter for bonanaza (I used to LOVE that show when I was a kid). I would never have dreamed I would meet the woman that wrote many of those episodes LOL! Life is sure full of twists and interesting adventures.
