who knew
If someone had told me when I was a mini-skirted "groovy baby" teen in London that I would be spending a hot afternoon in the middle of ohio sanding toilet seats I would have said, "don't be daft".
But here I am. Sanding loo seats and painting plungers.
This is Nancy in our test photo to see how the placement of the seat works for the souvenir photo board we are working on for the grand opening of the ChamberPot Gallery.

Have you contacted any media? -- not just local. I could see some national talk shows wanting in on this.
Never did get to visit the red pandas, everyone was asleep so we ended up going on further to the booktown (Wigtown) by the time we got back to Kirkudbright it was a little late and the children were overtired (code for horrid)

BTW, does the mayor of YS know about the YS here in PA? Or maybe just bypass him/her and contact the PA YS CofC directly. Not sure what you would say, but maybe the CofC pres would know.
Also send a note/invitation to your governor. I did that once for a shoe show we hosted in Green Bay (support the local arts kind of thing). Not expecting a response, I blew it when I got a call from the governor's secretary about what we wanted him to do! I did send one to the local state representative and his wife came. So nothing ventured, nothing gained.
