Currently in Jafabrit's Living Room

Wait--where the screen image from?

And of course you can do it all if you just cut out sleep

Yes, I wanted to bunk off work today to paint myself silly. I'm also flitting from one thing to another. Nervous energy is exciting but can drive me crazy with frustration that i only have 2 hands and not enough hours.

Hiay Art, well the rat is pure banksy but the police girl is a photograph of my daughter from halloween and I enlarged and painted onto the screen.

Yep, that's it Yellow, nervous energy yikes!

A couple of weeks ago I saw the documentary "Rash" by Nicholas Hansen. It was a real treat - and it has made me a passionate supporter of street art in al its forms and guises. Melbourne (just across the water from NZ) has turned into a bit of a mecca for street art and I'm pretty sure that Space Invader dude has been there. I REALLY look forward to thsi doco, then. Oooo and I love your wee beasty! I'm saying that with my husband's Scottish accent, which I just borrow every now and again.
Oh, and you should probably wrap yourself up in warm furry flowers before you do the tree...
Love your stuff, Jafa girl, you are always spearheading something new and exciting!

i feel your pain. i want to do so many things that i feel like i'm not getting anything done at all... oh well, as long as we keep at it, it'll all get done. it's rainy and i'm sick today so its the perfect stitching day.
btw- love the screen, it's especially great that it's your daughter.

hum something must be in the air mafiosagirl, I have been icky for a couple of days. Hope you feel better soon and have a good stitching day.

thanks Debrina. I think many still associate street art with gang type tagging from back in the 70's and haven't had the opportunity to see how dynamic and fanastic some of it is. will have to see if I can order the film from netflix or see clips on youtube.
