Drawing Challenge

How many have ever tried to draw with your eyes closed? This is a self portrait and my dog rufus. If any of you try it post it on your blog for us to see :) It would be fun to add your links to this entry when you post a pic. I did this and then though, hum wonder if others have done it and googled "drawing with eyes closed" and walla! up came De Kooning.

check out Sue Beyer's figure drawings. I wouldn't even attempt a full figure, but wow these are great. cynthia does a keen self portrait and Snoo's self portrait is adorable. Jessica did three and I had a hard time deciding which one I loved best. Now I think I am really inspired to do another one.

The saying I can do that with my eyes closed fits for you. I can't draw with my eyes open I have no idea what would happen with my eyes closed.

oh honey but i can't even draw with my eyes open :) ...
i will try something, at if it looks like anything, i mean anything..a straight line, a circle i will post it..but just for you to have a laugh..i don't even know how to make stick man...lol..now Joe, he is sooo good, unfortunately i can't remember the last time he drew anything..he hasn't been in the right frame of mind (unfortunately)..

your drawing is good..i can even tell that your drew your doggy..now that is talent hon..

You did a similar exercise what I was thinking of doing. I was going to do a series of quick sketches with my non-dominant hand today (which happens to be my left hand).

I'll add this one in, and post later today and link to this. It sounds like fun. A self portrait??? What a challenge! I would probably do better with my dog, Zuzu.

I can't draw that well with my eyes open. If we had to draw something me with open eyes and you with closed you would win.

I agree, J.B. your drawing is great and I can't wait to try this experiment out! What a neat idea and I'm going to try it tomorrow night and see what happens. It's amazing to me that someone can draw someing even recognizable when doing it with no looking at the paper!

i do this all the time and i have loads of books i have done ... i am doing a new one soon.. its features many jazz musicians, you may want to buy it sometime...
