I learned how to embroider from my mother and grandmothers and steadily stitched using transfers/crosstitch kits until I was 27 and then took a long break. In the interim I did other crafts, and then discovered an ability to draw and paint at 40 under the guidance of Marie Linnekin. In 2009 I picked up the needle again with a newfound excitment now that I could create my own images/designs.
