Christmas in Arizona and the Phoenix Zoo Lights

ZooLights

Come see why we were voted one of the Best Zoo Lights by USA Today's 10Best Reader's Choice travel award! Polar Slide- 200 Feet of Snow Tubing Excitement!* Will be open daily through January 16 and at ZooLights through January 8, 2017. Hours: Daytime 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
It was a short visit to Arizona BUT oodles of fun, putting aside that I kept breaking stuff - have no clue what that was about. Probably will become part of family legend when Nana managed to break something every day. Since this is an art blog I will leave out the details and just share some photos from the neighbourhood Christmas Lights and then the Pheonix Zoo Lights. We had quite a hike from the parking lot to the Zoo because the zoo parking was full. Thankfully it was a fairly pleasant evening and well lit, which made seeing the Saguaro
fun to see at night. We were greeted at the entrance with trees covered in lights.
I really enjoyed the fabulous 1 million LEGO nature displays. It was hard to get a good shot of any because of crowds, so here is a link to a video and slide show. The highlight of the evening was the lakeside Music-in-Motion light display.
Here is a great video of all the lights.

What beautiful photos! (I love saguaros...)

Glad your holidays were wonderful...you certainly deserve it and I'm sure it meant the world to your kids for you guys to come down for them...

AND...what a bonus, to make up for an awful year...that precious GRANDBABY!

I'm thinking it's God's way of apologizing for what you went through...

Have a wonderful, happily eventful 2017, grrrl.

xoxo T
