Vintage Black & White Photographs

I love looking at vintage photographs and figuring out what it is that appeals to me about some of them. Sometimes it is the artistic quality, and other times it's the story it tells of an era or a place.

I am trying to figure out how I can create images that express similar themes. Just even writing this I am realizing that I need to hone in how I can do this. So writing my blog entry is part of the creative process ;)
In terms of composition I liked this one of my husband texting a message to our son.

As for era, I think it speaks for itself ;)
