Something Old, Something New

No, not talking about Nancy. I am talking about an old piece of knitting that Nancy and I stitched onto another pole (nancy did the hearts) on Dayton Street. Tried something new on Saturday . I was helping my daughter sell cupcakes at the Farmer's Market for charity and the booth next to us was selling buffalo meat. I tried some buffalo meat jerky and YUM it was good.
Okay, so I tried the buffalo meat, BUT
Squirrel Pasties?
Eating Grey Squirrels has become very popular in England and in some places they are flying off the shelves.

Bits & Bobs, This & That

Doodled in my sketchbook, made textile totem embellishments with foam, finished my vinyl record painting.

I got this from hubby on Mother's Day

"Eating Grey Squirrels has become very popular in England" - not in this house it ain't! It was bad enough having to eat my step dad's rabbit stew! I got out of that one by becoming vegetarian! (not now though - I'm a big girl now and can eat what I want. Mmmm cup cakes...)

My Mum tried to go without tea for a whole day once - she managed it but had the scariest nightmare that night of a cup of tea stirring itself!

The textile totem embellishments look great!

Ewwwww just can't get my head around that one of the squirrels.
When I was first married my husband "the great white hunter" came home with a rabbit, and expected me to cook and eat it. Well......it still hasn't happened yet over 25 years later. City girl here, can't raise it, name it, then eat it!!
Off topic.......Went and had a look at your pizza box Wow, I think it's terrific. Well done, my thoughts exactly when you mention pizza to me!! Had a good giggle. Bet they notice it.

Love cupcakes -there's a cupcake bakery 3 blocks from my house that's hard to resist!

My brother would probably eat squirrel, but not me...

Like the sketch totem tree and your mother's day present.

Well, I know the Carolina Grey ousted the native red just about everywhere, but I'd have visions of my dear ol' Scampi squirrel and her brood. They used to come into the flat(garden level) and head straight for the tin where I kept nuts!Little beggar nicked a scone-with-clotted-cream-and-jam once and scoffed the lot!
Tea? With me, it's coffee.

Love the record and the totem trees so much. I am inspired to decorate our own tree with some crochet.

dinah, from what I have read the black squirrel is now a threat to the grey squirrel in Engand. Well I do have a coffee once in a while-usually when I visit the local Emporium.

Thanks for dropping in Julie. I am with you, I don't see me eating squirrel.

You know painter girl I haven't even done one of my OWN trees. I think you have inspired me. If you do one, show us a pic :)
