Hand Embroidery : A bird for Mr. B

I didn't want to finish this so fast, I was so enjoying getting lost in it like I do with painting. I thought a little about the process and I think that even though it might be smart to do a colour chart, it seems I approached it like I do painting. Usually I have some colours picked out, but I like to leave it open to nuances and shading that closer examination of a scene reveals.
I will add I did take a colour theory class many years ago, and it has really helped.
