why

do I have to have a hand stitched blue sky

it's going to take me FOREVER to do this couching for the sky portion of my knit knot tree panel. Okay, I told myself that this panel might take a few months, and this is why. It's got to be worth it, yes :)

Sometimes old things come in really useful.

And this present from jafapal Nancy was one such item. When we lost power during the ice storm we lost power to all our modern telephones. Only problem is that I couldn't press for extension numbers, but hey, I still could call local (couldn't call long distance due to time running out dialing all the flipping numbers lol)

Holy HELL grrrl!! Whenever I feel down, or slightly disjointed, I make a sweet tea and visit your world... and lo & behold, just when I needed a kick in the creative pants I clicked on your slide sketch show. Thank you so much for creating such a treasure. Nothing makes me feel like part of an art tribe the way a peek inside good sketchbooks can. You fortified me today -- a welcome feast. Thanks, Victoria

OMG, Corrine....that sky is just GORGEOUS...what is the backing (is that the right word?) that you're embroidering it on?
Well, I love trees but I don't know if I'd be willing to give it to the tree....unless it was at eye level so all the people walking by could admire it, too....

lol Teresa :)
Hiay Treena, the background is chocolate brown pure linen. I should have been clear, this isn't FOR putting on the knit knot tree. It's a panel or sampler about the knit knot tree :) phew, I'm glad you like the sky because it's really a lot of work.
