I will be exhibiting 3 pieces in an invited group exhibit titled Drawing in Thread: Contemporary Embroidery at the Gallery at Mount Ida College curated by Professors John Tricomi and Kathleen Discoll. flipping eck' and WOW! am I in good company. I feel quite awed and humbled as I really admire these artists and have talked of a few here on occasion. Andrea Dezso is one such artist whose talents are NOT confined to one medium. If you have a chance to look at her website you will see her sketchbooks and sculptures. I adore Takashi Iwasaki's work,especially the embroidery on black, just sumptuous. It's hard to pick a favourite really because each artist brings such a unique vision technically and conceptually.

It means like many contemporary artists, such as those listed above in the exhibit, my language of expression is not limited to one medium. So, no, I am not quitting painting or anything else just because I am a wee bit obsessed with embroidery
