Liu Bolin and the art of camouflage

Considering how I enjoy doing camouflage dolls in some of the jafagirl yarnbombing Dayton Street, Yellow Springs, Ohio

this artists work below is just my cup of tea.
Just amazing, AND putting ideas into

Your blog is always an inspiration! I especially liked the invisible man standing by the cannon. Thank you for writing a blog that inspires a creative approach to life.

How does he paint himself in? It's amazing.

I can't believe this knitting thing is still an issue for some - or ever was. What is their problem??! Get a life, and stop knit picking at others! hahaha :)

I mean, have they any idea how much paint and canvases cost these days? Couldn't that money be better spent on the starving homeless? Do they protest outside art galleries? I think not.

Good information and good comments...we really should assume as well as consume less. What you do with your materials is up to you.
Liu Bolin has been doing his Hiding in the City series since 2005. It started as a political commentary on the tensions between the Chinese government and their people and the identity an environment gives an individual and vice versa. Liu Bolin will be exhibiting at Eli Klein Fine Art in New York from June 29 - August 28, 2011. Eli Klein Fine Art represents him exclusively in North and South America. More images can be found on www.ekfineart.com.
