The Guerrilla Girl in Me
is located on Corry Street outside IN A FRAME
I decided to do a mini version of the camo doll knit graffiti. It's amazing how many people pass this box and NEVER notice it, so it is one of those quiet little art pieces hanging around town. I kind of like the idea that it blends in so well people don't notice it, but when they do I hope it is a nice little surprise.

So go the knitting needles as the jafagirls get ready to replace some tired looking knit graffiti on Dayton Street.

EYE OF A NEEDLE



Tiny, weenie, miniscule sculptures by Willard Wigan, amazing, but I think I will stick to just using the needle to sew with.

 AND
This is Cool
I was included in the 100 Best Scholarly Art Blogs on the Online University Reviews website. Although it doesn't specify why I want to thank the reviewer for including me.

I love it when I suddenly spot something like the camo doll or street art where I don't expect to--the discovery of it and the surprise are part of it.

Great piece! Probably your inclusion to 100 best scholarly blogs is due to the descriptive phrasing from the right side of that work. ;-) I think the muse is doing a super job of navigation.

Hey Clever Clogs - well done on the scholarly front! AND that embroidered sketchbook/journal page is INCREDIBLE! Such gob-smacking detail! You really really ARE amazing.
Now I'm look'n at that camo doll thinking...I need to do some guerilla art...where should I put my piece...? Muh ha ha

what a deft hand you have at the stitchery - that was a huge undertaking with the page out of your journal and it looks incredible

Congrats on the inclusion. I love your "tucked away" art. I used to do something similar, but different. I formed the FLF; Fairy Liberation Front. I'd buy a whack of dollar store fairy statues, then leave them out in various natural settings; on certain rocks, tucked into a tree's roots, etc. Never got to see if they were ever noticed, but I hope someone got a kick out of it at some point.
FYI, although I'd decided to quit art altogether, I've been drawn to paint, regardless. Perhaps it's the removal of all stress regarding the subject that's moved me. Who can say? Regardless, let's keep in touch. I don't have much blogging time these days, but you can always e-mail me at lgramlich@email.com

I know I've said this before but...I love your embroidery sketches. They almost inspire me to document my stitched text works that I've been making in a sporadic fashion since the late 70's. I say almost because they are nowhere near as interesting as your work.
