Our keynote speaker at the REACH conference in Dayton was Dr.Leslie King-Hammond, and what a brilliant speaker. One of the things she discussed was the importance of having your own posse; a group of friends who meet regularly, who really know each other and want to share and support each other in their dreams. I have mine called the Jafagirls, and it has been an essential part of my life these last few years. I know if I need a critique I will get an honest one, if I need support, a good laugh, a project partner, or bounce off ideas the jafagirls are there. We don't always hang out but just knowing they are there and we can get together once a month is important.

Erastus Mitchell Birch
an appointed trustee by the first president (Horace Mann) of Antioch College .
I like the photo (untouched) because of the angle, the colour of the sky, the branches framing the stone and the shadows it cast onto the stone.
I LOVE that name Erastus, I want to say it over and over.
Do you ever do that, latch onto a word and want to repeat it?
I was stuck on Pusillanimous for a while.
As you can see these monuments are in the middle of nowhere in Glen Helen.
