J is for Jail

Of course when I was growing up we spelled Jail the British way, Gaol. Not sure if it's still in common usage although I see the BBC still uses that spelling. This is now a private residence (up for sale if anyone is interested) but it was once used as the local jail.

STUFF: Nancy and I put up some knit graffiti (virgil caught us in the act and took a nice pic) stuck an owl in a tree, and saw the cutest little car at the local hardware store.

I finally saw a Smart Car on the street in Boston last week, and for a half a second felt that I was in London.

They are so popular over there aren't they. I remember riding in a neighbours bubble car in the late 60's. Boy it was noisy. These little cars have come a LONG way.

I have finally got it put up, thanks for popping by and continuing.

We have now hit over 250 pictures.

I'm rather quite proud.

Thank you, and Scott is an incredible cook.

I will pass on the jealousy.

:D

(what a fab picture for today i must say)

My goodness someone should give you guys a paycheque for helping to pretty up the town and getting the excitement happening with the people...but what amount of money would suffice? For as the mastercard commercial says you guys are priceless!

That jail or 'goal' sure is a neat looking little building..I would live there as long as the rooms didn't have any bars. :) Ha, that car is so cute and it looks like a toy!

I thought that "gaol" thing was a joke until I looked it up. I'm having a very educational week. Goal means jail and male seahorses give birth. Its a strange world.
I LOVED the knitting by the way. What a lovely thing to do.

I would have loved to have bought that house undaunted, but economy and budget thwarts that desire :(

thanks for dropping by silly swedish, there is quite a bit spelling that is dramatically different between the UK and USA. tyre instead of tire for example. took me years to get used to it.After living here so long I can't tell if I am spelling uk or usa or not spelling correctly at all LOL!

Oh thanks lyn, I don't normally like having my photo taken but virgil did good.

I love those little cars Jan.
