TAG Your NOT it!

Walking along Xenia Avenue, Yellow Springs

DANG DOGGONE IT
I got tagged by Snap out of it Jean

Here are the rules which must be posted:
1. Link to your tagger
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog - some random, some weird and list these rules on your blog
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blog
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog

Err, well hum okay, here goes
1. I have just become a flexitarian2. I am tattooless
3. I'm in the Shakespeare Club
4. I love eating winkles dipped in malt vinegar
5. I enjoy being a little bit of an iconoclastic imp
6. I am quite shy.
YES! it is TRUE. I hate being filmed or photographed, or speaking in front of a crowd or being the center of attention (doing art receptions are really hard for me). It is assumed that because I do a lot of work that might draw attention, I am not shy. Well I am. What I am NOT shy about is my work being the center of attention, talking about it, or it being photographed/highlighted.
7. I don't like memes too much, but value and appreciate that others want to include me.

Since I am a bit of an iconoclast I will forgo rules 4 & 5 and leave the meme open for others to participate in if they wish.
Let me know so I can add your link below.

Meanwhile, back in the studio

"Spuggy"

I used an image of mine to collage and paint a crushed can for the "12 pack show" coming up at the Nolaa Gallery next month.

I'm totally with you on the shyness, yet somehow I always get shoved into positions of leadership. Not sure how that works, really...
Love the latest can.
good for you..... many who think they know us don't at all......

Thanks for popping by my blog - it reminded me to make the rounds! Flexitarian, eh? I think I've found me a new word!! That's pretty well what my hubby and I do (particularly flexible in the fish department) :) I love the can - the depth is amazing!!

Nope, I'm an exhibitionist. Just look at the quantities of self-portraits I've done. Interesting to hear that you're tattooless. If you'd asked I may not have guessed that.
Love your work at the moment by the way. Full of life and power.

self portraits are cheaper than hiring a model Yellow ;) I wouldn't have minded a little tattoo Yellow, but I can't get an upper lip wax without anesthesia. I have a low pain tolerance.

cat in a box, thanks for dropping by. With so much going on I think it is hard for people to make the rounds, so I appreciate it when I get visitors and comments. Glad you like the can.

Judith, you would be surprised how many people have assumed things about me based on seeing one or two pieces of my work or reading one or two blog entries.

I hear you lana, grrrrr. I have been working on that, and looking forward to a quiet winter squirreled away in my studio working on projects and drawing.

For those that may be interested in becoming a flexitarian or eating more vegetables I would recommend The Flexitarian Diet by Registered Dietitian Dawn Jackson Blatner. Great book with sound nutrition advice and over 100 recipes. I have made about 20 so far and they have all been great.

I was a vegetarian when I was younger. It just became habit after a while - you kind of stop viewing meat as food and forget it exists. My sister tried it and it made her ill though, so I suppose it's not for everyone. I'm still not a huge meat eater.

Another great can! Did you know you had a blog award from me by the way?
