Craftivism: felt skull art

Okay, they are just rather whimsical little things I like to do in the evenings when watching a movie on telly. These were handed out for Free Art Friday.  I mention craftivism in the title because Sarah at The Eclipse Gallery blog brought the subject up and I realized I might be part of an ism movement LOL!

Oh my goodness. How is that stuff by Stephanie Metz even possible? That's just amazing. But what I want to know is, how did she get a photo of me to base this piece on?? (hope the link worked)

I love the other pieces from the other link too! And your skulls are still cute!

Yay!! Love the skulls and thanks for the shout out :)
I should probably not watch tv because it seems to sap what little creativity I have. Love that you do these beautiful skulls in front of a movie. Your last post was more ominous (the painting great). I had also read about the continued big brothering with disgust and a feeling of helplessness.

Thanks Maria, hope all is well with you :)

Hum undaunted, you sure it was you and not me who was the model LOL! Beautifully done work by both artists on my link and very inspiring.

Hey there sarah, you're welcome, glad you like the skulls.

Sometimes it saps my energy bill and sometimes it fires me up and I just feel I have to create something. My sense of helplessness is lessened (not very much unfortunately) by speaking up about it, or creating art that expresses my feeling about it. As you have probably gathered by now my art expresses a whole range of emotions about life which is from one extreme to the other it seems of late.
oooh I love the skulls and will check the links later today:):):)
I love the felt skulls! They are so cute!

thanks jessica, lana, madsilence. I had so much fun making them :) I don't think I would hand them out for halloween though madsilence, maybe a less elaborate version. I am selling these in the gallery for $3.
The skulls are even better in person!!!! Thank you so much for my new collection.
