Painted Stone Assemblage

"chat room"
oil painted stone, camera box and wood box

He kind of looks like Peter Lorre, but really the face was determined by the shape of the stone. In a way though it is rather fitting that it should look like him in one of his finest roles as Hans Beckert in the chilling Fritz Lang movie "m"

Love the film clip. Very emotive. Brilliant actor.

I love your "Chat Room" too. You are so good at painting faces.

It took me a while to make the connection between "chat room", the film clip, and the link at the bottom, but I got there in the end! How slow was I last night?! (tried to post last night but blogger was having some problems)

Ckw, I used to find lovely river rocks in Jersey to paint on. Can't find them here.
Oh gosh dinah, am I showing my age when I talk about actors like lorre lol! Well unless a young person is into the classic movies.
undaunted, he was brilliant, but he was so typecast in the usa I am not sure many were aware of his range of acting skills.
hiay trisna, nice to see you here :)

genxsters, I don't think I will be parting with this stone. Glad you like it and hope to see your stone one day.

Doudy, not sure about what being stumbled means but I like that and say thank you :)

From "fecal matters" to Peter Lorre, I am so glad to have found your blog. I drifted in here from a Malaysian artists blog.

Good morning! Thank you for stopping by my little corner of cyberspace. I love your art! I am secretly envious of those with artistic talent. Well, maybe not so secretly since I just said it... :p

Have a fantastic day!!

PL: "I'm not crazy, I just like to eat b---ns!" Attribution spurious.

Seriously great acting, outrageous but not over-acting, in the clip.

Maybe someone should do a kids-only free art day. Thursday, maybe?
