Hanging around the Knit Knot Tree

Nancy and I were hanging out at the "knit knot" tree yesterday and a skateboarder asked me if I was one of the guardian grannies? arg! like I need any more names, but he had seen one of our tags. Err, hum! I don't think I fit the description LOL! but I don't blame him considering how this photo in the Yellow Springs News looked, arg! Maybe I should walk around sticking me tongue out, I look much better that way.

Isn't the tree coming along great. We met a young woman who told us she had added one of the bands to the tree. People are LOVING the tree sweater, although I did hear someone was having conniptions about it hurting the tree and talked to the tree committee about it.

"Save the trees!" That's very funny...

It's so cool that the tree sweater is growing too. I wouldn't want to be one of the grannies either. Although, I think for some kids, anything over 20 is old.
Haha! It's a tree with a leg warmer! LOL.

This is brilliant, Guardian Granny remarks or not. You'll have to aspire to Wicked Art Witch. And that's hilarious about the concerned tree lover. One in every crowd! :)

Well, sometimes you can't hug ALL the trees so a nice, warm sweater will keep it cosy.
Daft owd bugger. The complaining one, not you.Of course.
I wish someone would do things like this here.

I had to laugh at the comment about looking better with your tongue sticking out! It's true! I thought you were in your 20's when I saw that picture! :)

OMG undaunted, in my 20's, THAT'S IT! I am definitely walking around with me tongue sticking out. Might drool a bit, but I will hang a dribble cup around me neck :)

ha!ha! I am glad everyone is getting a kick out of the tree sweater! Our next challenge is how to get to the upper branches.

But it's a knit sweater! It'll stretch, for goodness sake.

I can accept a tree wearing a sweater, why not? It's no more odd than some of the things people come to accept...

Anyway, I love it, and also that people keep adding to it. The colors are cheerful and it's just a fun thing. I find it quite wonderful that you and the other Jafas leave art all around in public. That is inspiring to me.

Oh, Jafa, that looks like such fun......I want to play too!!!
You don't look like a Guardian Granny, though I must admit, that I too thought you were perhaps in your 30's from your pic on your blog with your tongue stuck out like Gene Simmons. (now there's a Guardian Granny without his makeup....have you seen his show???) LOL
Love the Knit Knot Tree. Hey don't knock your paper photo......at least you're in the "paper" HaHa
(like your coat too) :)

OH my we can't have a tree with a sweater, it might hurt the poor thing, not like bad purning or poision but still...did anyone even think to ask the tree what it's favorite colors are...I mean it may think it looks gastly in red! LOL Freaks.
Love the tree, and you are so not a granny no matter what any picture looks like. You are just over 30, so therefore to anyone under 18 we are O-L-D. hahahahah! Just you wait little ones, just you wait...time waits for no man.

the tree looks so cosy...
the citizen who has doubts about it is obviously jealous....maybe the J Girls can knit her a sweater GG !!
Great tree sweater, people in this area are lucky to have you there :)

Maybe you could fill in some of the upper branches with crazy string.
The sweater looks great and will probably make most people smile. The tongue is for everybody else! LOL!

It was Knitta that I saw on TV, btw!

Your work is amazing... I had a chance to peek at your portfolio! Keep up the magic! ;)

Aww gee, I love your knit knot tree and there's no way that could hurt the tree! I think some people just like to stir up trouble for stupid reasons. You ladies look beautiful, and very cool I may add, in the photo and it's awsome that the knit knot tree made the news!! Rock On!!!

Hurting the tree?! WHAT?! I'm sure the tree is deeply appreciative of the warm, snuggly sweater.

Sheesh.

I LOVE THIS!

I'm sorry if I'm a bit slow on this one but I've had "Hanging around the knit knot tree" going around my head all day!

A fantastic idea and I do think the tree will be quite cozy. What harm could come to the tree by keeping it warm and happy? I am thinking this person was envious and a bit cold. Perhaps someone can knit a sweater for them!

I would love to get over to YS and see it. If this ice would ever go away...

I doubt you look a thing like a granny, guardian or otherwise. But I have found that anyone over 35 is pegged this way by *some* younger ones. I am well reminded of this almost daily...sheesh.

Brilliant as always!

Hugs,
Sue
