This is based on a painting of my ceramic studio pal Phineas Fallis, and he is a bad to the bone doggie and I LOVE him so, oh yes I do. He is my model for my newest street sticker, or found art sticker :)Talking about doggie pics
Lucian Freud is one of my favourite artists and I was lucky enough to see one of his exhibits at the Gagosian in New York several years ago. If I wasn't married and still living in England I would have offered myself up as his tea lady just so I could hang around his studio and see him work. His depiction of animals is as brilliant as his paintings of the human form. I love how he has captured the soft belly and the spindly legs of the whippet. Oh and the veins in the her hands, oh drool.! drool! drool! I found his comments on the bbc interview interesting in regards to "his lack of interest in the response of his audience" and I feel pretty much the same way (well you can skip the delusions of greatness, wealth, LOL).| Bad to the bone.mp... |
